About The Role

Working as part of an integrated team within the packing department, the Quick Chip Forklift Driver is responsible for ensuring the area has the relevant materials available at all times.

Key tasks include:

• Maintaining a constant supply of materials in the department
• Collecting and disposing of all waste materials
• Returning unused materials to their original department
• Ensuring proper disposal of waste materials
• Supporting senior staff and assisting operators during breaks or as needed, including:
• Packing cartons of finished product into cases according to specifications
• Operating the flow wrap
• Machine monitoring
• Running the tipper
• Completing metal detector checks
• Inspecting filled cartons for foreign bodies and reporting non-compliance to the Front Line Manager

What We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate has experience in a food manufacturing environment, is self-motivated, detail-oriented, and holds a current forklift license with experience operating in a fast-paced setting.

Working Hours and Location

The shift pattern is 2 days (7am-7pm), 1 day off, 2 nights (7pm-7am), followed by 3 days off. You will work at our Whittlesey plant in Peterborough, known for producing French Fries and chilled products like Shake Shake Fries.
