Are you ready to take the lead in a dynamic quarrying environment where safety, quality, and teamwork drive success? We’re looking for a Quarry Supervisor to guide, coordinate, and inspire our quarry team to meet key operational objectives and deliver excellence every day.

What You’ll Be Doing

As Quarry Supervisor, you’ll be responsible for:

  • Taking on the statutory duties of the 8(1)(c) under the Quarry Regulations.
  • Ensuring the supply of high-quality stone to meet cement production needs.
  • Leading by example in safety—conducting safe walks, inspections, and promoting a proactive safety culture.
  • Monitoring and reporting environmental compliance.
  • Organising team priorities and adapting to changing operational needs.
  • Collaborating across departments and supporting wider site operations.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and motivate the quarry team to achieve production targets.
  • Maintain accurate records: production data, geotechnical assessments, tonnage reports, and safety metrics.
  • Liaise with contractors, internal departments, and the public professionally and effectively.
What You’ll Bring
  • Proven leadership experience in a quarry or heavy industry setting.
  • Strong understanding of raw material processes and their impact on safety, environment, and quality.
  • Competence in heavy plant operations.
  • GCSEs in Maths and Science (or equivalent).
  • Solid IT skills (MS Office).
  • Valid UK driving licence.
Qualifications
  • SHE Quarry Management NVQ Level 4 (essential).
  • NVQ Level 2 in operating at least three types of machinery.
  • Blast Design and Shot Firing NVQs.
  • DAPS qualification (desirable).
