Job Description:

At The Mick George Group, we are looking for Plant Operators/ Labourers in the Northamptonshire area to join our team.

Job Overview: To operate plant and machinery to assist with the retrieval of minerals and profiling of ground to the required level.

Perform other duties necessary for the day-to-day running of the quarry/landfill as directed by a site supervisor/manager.

Responsibilities:
  • Carry out daily/weekly maintenance checks of mobile & fixed plant to the required standard.
  • Perform maintenance tasks such as greasing and cleaning equipment.
  • Report defects using the R2C app.
  • Control and dispatch product quality, following plant GPS to achieve required ground levels.
  • Perform any other quarry-related duties as directed by management.
  • Log working hours and production data accurately on timesheets and documentation.
  • Report unsuitable materials to management.
  • Understand procedures related to breakdowns to minimize downtime.
  • Highlight training needs to management, especially for legislative requirements.
  • Conduct yourself professionally and maintain site safety and cleanliness.
  • Maintain regular contact with site management.
Skills/Qualifications:
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Experience with Dozer, 360 Excavator, or Dump Truck (minimum 5 years).
  • Hardworking attitude.
  • Experience with GPS (machine control).
