Job Description:

Here at The Mick George Group, we are looking for Plant Operators/Labourers to join the team at our Husbands Bosworth site.

Job Overview: To operate plant and machinery to assist with the retrieval of minerals and profiling of ground to the required level.

Any other duties required in the day-to-day running of the quarry/landfill as deemed necessary by a site supervisor/manager.

Responsibilities:

• Carry out daily/weekly maintenance checks of the mobile & fixed plant to the necessary standard.
• Perform daily/weekly maintenance tasks, including greasing and cleaning equipment.
• Report defects to site management/workshop using the R2C app.
• Control the quality of products and follow plant GPS to achieve required ground levels.
• Perform other duties related to the quarry as requested by a supervisor/manager.
• Accurately record working hours on timesheets and submit weekly.
• Log production data, plant stoppages, breakdowns, and logs correctly.
• Inform management of materials unsuitable for production.
• Understand procedures for breakdowns to minimize downtime.
• Highlight training needs to line management, especially for legislative requirements.
• Conduct oneself safely and professionally, maintaining site cleanliness and safety standards.
• Maintain regular contact with site management.

Skills/Qualifications:

• Full UK driving licence
• Experience on Dozer, 360 Excavator, or Dump Truck (minimum 5 years)
• Hardworking nature
• Experience with GPS (machine control)
