Job description

Job Title: Plant Operator/Labourer

Join The Mick George Group as a Plant Operator or Labourer. We are seeking dedicated individuals to operate plant and machinery to assist with mineral retrieval and ground profiling to the required levels.

Responsibilities:
  1. Perform daily/weekly maintenance checks on mobile and fixed plant to ensure safety and operational standards.
  2. Carry out maintenance tasks such as greasing and cleaning equipment.
  3. Report defects to site management or workshop using the R2C app.
  4. Control product quality and follow plant GPS to achieve desired ground levels.
  5. Complete accurate records of working hours, production data, plant stoppages, and breakdowns.
  6. Inform management of any unsuitable materials for production.
  7. Understand and respond to breakdown procedures to minimize downtime.
  8. Highlight training needs to line management, especially for legislative requirements.
  9. Maintain site cleanliness and adhere to safety standards to prevent hazards.
  10. Communicate regularly with site management.
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Experience with Dozer, 360 Excavator, or Dump Truck (minimum 5 years).
  • Hardworking and reliable nature.
  • Experience with GPS machine control is advantageous.
