Job summary

The Hills Group is seeking a Quarry Operative to join our Mortimer, Hampshire team. You will operate quarry plant safely, assist with maintenance, and cover key site roles, supporting the production of sand and aggregates across Wiltshire and surrounding counties.

Qualifications

• Operate quarry plant and machinery safely and efficiently to support production of aggregates.
• Assist with maintenance and upkeep of fixed and mobile plant, reporting issues to minimise downtime.
• Step into key site support roles, including Foreman and Weighbridge Operator cover.
• Previous experience using mobile plant including dumpers, loading shovel, and 360 excavators with certified tickets.
• Desirable: NVQ/QCF Level 2 (SPMO).
• Desirable: Mechanical knowledge of mobile plant.
• Desirable: Awareness of the Quarry Regulations 1999.

Responsibilities
