Job summary

Holcim UK is seeking a General Operative / Mobile Plant Operative for our Duntiland site. This permanent, full-time role covers mobile plant operation, fixed production duties and site operations in a busy, safety‑focused production environment.

You will operate equipment such as ADT, loading shovel and excavator, participate in daily safety inspections and support product dispatch and quality control while enjoying structured shifts and opportunities for progression within a respected team.

Qualifications

• Experience in an industrial, quarry, recycling, aggregates, or heavy plant environment.
• Confident operating mobile plant machinery.
• Able to work effectively in a team and communicate with site management.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate mobile plant equipment including ADT, loading shovel, and other machinery while carrying out daily safety inspections.
• Support the operation of fixed production plant and assist with product dispatch and quality control processes.
• Maintain high housekeeping standards across the site, ensuring work areas remain clean, tidy, and hazard free.
• Monitor production activities, report breakdowns or stoppages, and work closely with site management and maintenance teams.
• Carry out routine plant inspections and support the efficient day-to-day running of the operation.
