Imerys in Wareham, England is seeking a committed Quarry Operative – Class 2 HGV Driver. You will operate a Class 2 LGV rigid tipper, transporting quarry materials safely between the quarry, processing plant, and customer delivery points.

You will conduct pre-use inspections, comply with tachograph and drivers’ hours rules, and keep records up to date. The role requires a valid Class 2 HGV licence, Driver CPC, and at least 1 year of HGV Class 2 experience, plus knowledge of quarry safety

Qualifications

• Class 2 HGV licence required.
• Driver CPC qualification card required.
• GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
• Minimum 1 year experience driving HGV Class 2 vehicles.
• Strong understanding of Drivers' Hours Regulations and Tachographs.
• Commitment to health and safety standards.
• Good communication and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Operate a Class 2 LGV rigid tipper vehicle to move quarry materials.
• Carry out pre-use inspections and report defects.
• Transport materials between quarry, processing site, and customer locations.
• Ensure compliance with Road Transport Regulations and tachograph rules.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and roadworthiness.
• Complete required documentation and provide professional customer interaction.
