IonQ, Inc. in Oxford is seeking a highly technical Software Engineer for the Non-Realtime Controllers team.

You will work with software engineers, systems teams and quantum scientists to build software that controls hardware around our quantum computers, enabling fault-tolerant computation and reliable operation across our fleet. In this role you will own end-to-end device controllers, improve observability and alerting, and collaborate across disciplines to integrate new devices into the

Competenze

• Proficient in systems programming with Rust or similar languages.
• Experience interfacing with hardware and understanding instrument protocols.
• Ability to iterate quickly in a cross-disciplinary team.

• Develop and maintain end-to-end control software for hardware, from device protocol to fleet service.
• Improve observability, health checks and alerting for non‑ realtime controllers.
