Job summary

Headley Professional Recruitment Ltd is recruiting a Quantity Surveyor for a client in London, an interior fit-out contractor specialising in banking and retail projects across the UK.

The role focuses on delivering commercial targets, managing accounts, valuing and certifying payments, and working closely with the project team; a hybrid role based at the London head office with 3 days in the office and 2 from home each week, plus a car allowance and pension benefits.

• Ensure external valuations are submitted in line with the main contract and that payments are received by the due date
• Complete cost value comparison reports reflecting on-site position and final projection
• Work closely with the project team and senior commercial staff to meet budget targets

Job description

We're recruiting Quantity Surveyors for our client in London. The company is an interior fit out contractor who specialise in banking and retail fit out projects across the UK. They have an excellent reputation and history of producing quality, fast track fit out projects across the sector for some leading clients such as Barclays, Lloyds Bank, Tesco, Sainsbury's etc…

The role of Quantity Surveyor is to provide commercial support on projects to ensure that it is procured, delivered within budget and to the highest quality whilst exceeding our customers' expectations. You will be responsible for the delivery of the project to meet its financial targets. You will have good communication skills with the ability to nurture relationships with both the supply chain and customers. This position will be based in the company's head office in London with the option of working 3 days in the office and 2 days from home each week.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Manage the commercial accounts of numerous projects
• Assisting in accurately valuing, certifying, and issuing any relevant payment notices for the works of supply chain partners in accordance with their contractual arrangement.
• Ensuring that external valuations are submitted in accordance with conditions of the main contract and that payments are received by the due date.
• Completing cost value comparison reports, ensuring they accurately reflect the current position on-site and the final projection.
• Working closely with the project team and senior commercial staff to ensure budgeted targets for the project are met.
