Qualifications

Your new company
Our client, an established and high-profile organisation based in Coventry operating in the water industry, is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join their team. This multi-accredited company specialises in the delivery of clean and waste infrastructure and non-infrastructure projects across the Midlands region and offers excellent opportunities for career progression and professional development. Due to continued success, they are actively looking to grow their commercial team.

This is a full-time permanent position (37 hours per week, Monday - Friday) based in their Coventry office with the option for hybrid and flexible working.


Your new role
As Quantity Surveyor, your responsibilities will include:

  • Negotiating contracts and providing commercial support throughout delivery
  • Attending sites to carry out measurement and value work
  • Advising project stakeholders of commercial-related issues
  • Leading the dispute resolution process
  • Providing advice on contractual claims
  • Managing assessment and certification of monthly applications for payments
  • Processing subcontract payments
  • Managing plant suppliers.


What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful, you must have:

  • Degree/HNC/HND in Quantity Surveying (or similar) or experience equivalent
  • Ability to identify, quantify and control commercial risks
  • Working knowledge of NEC form of contract, ideally NEC4 (Options A, C and E)
  • Sound interpersonal and negotiation skills
  • Full UK driving licence.
