Job Title: Quantity Surveyor (preferably with experience in #fenestration, #facades, #construction, #builtenvironment)

Department: Operations

Reporting To: Commercial Manager

As a Quantity Surveyor at AGM Construction Recruitment, you will be part of the Operations team and report to the Commercial Manager.

What you’ll be doing:
  • Reviewing contracts and new tenders to support the Commercial/Sales team.
  • Negotiating contracts prior to signing, outlining required changes, and working with solicitors as needed.
  • Summarising contracts and guiding the team to adhere to contract specifics.
  • Building monthly applications or invoices, reviewing client payment notices, and ensuring compliance with work carried out.
  • Collaborating with Project Managers to ensure project delivery aligns with contract terms.
  • Reviewing and preparing monthly cost analysis reports, including project forecasting.
  • Managing contract variations, ensuring they are identified, documented, and communicated to Sales and Estimating departments.
  • Assisting with management of project delay notices and related financial implications.
  • Liaising with clients and Project Management for smooth handover of completed works, attending final account negotiations.
  • Managing subcontractor accounts, including negotiating purchase orders and valuations.
  • Supporting management with contract disputes.
  • Attending client meetings to address site issues, financial disputes, or contractual matters.
  • Participating in weekly meetings and daily huddles within the Commercial team.
