Leading independent cost and project management consultancy is looking to add Quantity Surveying talent to their London-based team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor project budgets, prepare and present detailed cost reports, cashflow forecasts, and financial analysis to the client.
  • Manage post-contract change control, including compensation events and claims (preferably NEC 3 & 4).
  • Assess works completed for payment applications.
  • Negotiate and prepare final accounts.
  • Identify and assess potential risks in construction projects, developing mitigation strategies.
  • Provide proactive risk-related advice to project teams to prevent disputes and delays.
  • Liaise with procurement teams for project delivery in accordance with procurement timelines.
  • Understand core procurement and contract options (e.g., NEC 3/4).
  • Conduct market soundings, establish supplier bidding potential, perform surveys, report results, and develop procurement strategies.
  • Undertake compliant procurement events under Public Procurement Regulations (PCR 2015/UCR 2016).
  • Knowledge of the Procurement Act 2023 regulations.

Job Requirements:

  • Experience in infrastructure sectors (rail, highways, aviation, water, energy).
  • MRICS preferred but not essential; support for professional qualification training available.
  • Pre- and post-contract experience.
  • Experience working under construction contract terms, preferably NEC or similar.
