Job Description:

Kenton Black are recruiting for a Quantity Surveyor / Senior Quantity Surveyor in Aberdeen on a permanent basis. This client is a leader in premium homebuilding. This is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive professional to contribute to the development of high-quality residential projects in a supportive, innovative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Manage the financial and contractual aspects of residential developments to ensure projects are delivered within budget and to the highest standards.
2. Prepare, review, and negotiate contracts, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
3. Monitor and control project costs, preparing accurate forecasts and reports for stakeholders.
4. Conduct valuations and certify payments to contractors and suppliers in line with agreed terms.
5. Provide detailed cost analyses, risk assessments, and solutions to maintain project efficiency.
6. Work collaboratively with project teams to ensure effective communication and delivery of objectives.
7. Identify and implement value engineering opportunities to enhance project outcomes.
8. Maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and supply chain partners.
9. Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, health and safety standards, and company policies.
10. Mentor and support junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous development and excellence.

Key Requirements:

1. Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
2. Proven experience in a similar role within the residential construction or homebuilding sector.
3. Strong commercial awareness and the ability to manage costs effectively.
4. Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
5. In-depth knowledge of contracts, procurement, and relevant building legislation.
6. Proficiency in using financial management tools and software.
7. Exceptional organisational skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
