Kenton Black is recruiting for a Quantity Surveyor / Senior Quantity Surveyor in Aberdeen on a permanent basis. This client is a leader in premium homebuilding. This is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive professional to contribute to high-quality residential projects in a supportive, innovative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the financial and contractual aspects of residential developments to ensure projects are delivered within budget and to high standards.
• Prepare, review, and negotiate contracts, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Monitor and control project costs, preparing forecasts and reports for stakeholders.
• Conduct valuations and certify payments to contractors and suppliers.
• Provide detailed cost analyses, risk assessments, and solutions to maintain project efficiency.
• Collaborate with project teams to ensure effective communication and delivery.
• Identify and implement value engineering opportunities.
• Maintain relationships with clients, contractors, and supply chain partners.
• Ensure compliance with legislation, health and safety standards, and policies.
• Mentor and support junior team members.

Key Requirements:

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or related field.
• Experience in residential construction or homebuilding sector.
• Strong commercial awareness and cost management skills.
• Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
• Knowledge of contracts, procurement, and building legislation.
• Proficiency in financial management tools.
• Organisational skills and ability to work under pressure.
