Job description

Job Description

Quantity Surveyor - Residential Projects | London | Leading Construction Consultancy

Imagine working on residential projects that don't just fill the skyline - they shape communities.
Imagine being trusted by your clients, backed by a top consultancy brand, and given a real voice in projects that matter.

Imagine a career path that's not just a line on a chart, but a journey that's shaped around you.
If that sounds like the kind of Quantity Surveyor you are (or want to be), we've got an opportunity you'll want to hear about.

The Opportunity
Our client is a leading, independent construction consultancy based in London, with a strong reputation in the residential sector. They combine the credibility of a top-tier brand with the personal, tailored career development of a close-knit team. They're growing, and they're looking for a Quantity Surveyor who's passionate about delivering homes that stand out - not just buildings that fill space.

Your Role Will Include:

  • Cost planning and management from early feasibility through to project completion

  • Preparing detailed cost estimates, procurement advice, and tender documents

  • Managing valuations, variations, and final accounts

  • Contract administration, primarily under JCT and NEC forms

  • Acting as the key point of contact for clients, ensuring projects run on time and within budget

  • Working collaboratively with architects, project managers, and engineers to bring projects to life

What You Bring:

  • Experience in a consultancy (PQS) environment

  • A strong background in residential construction projects (private, affordable, mixed-use welcome)

  • MRICS qualified - or very close to achieving it

  • Client-facing confidence and a collaborative approach

  • Energy, ideas, and a passion for building better homes, not just bigger ones

What's in it for You:

  • An award-winning project portfolio that will challenge and inspire you

  • Structured, clear career development - with real mentoring, not just promises

  • A friendly, supportive environment where individuality is celebrated

  • Competitive salary, bonus scheme, excellent benefits - and great coffee (important)
