Quantity Surveyor - PFI Contracts - Care Homes

We are working with a leading Facilities Management and PFI services provider to recruit an experienced and successful Quantity Surveyor to join their team delivering long-term PFI contracts for care homes across the Leeds region.

We are seeking a proven commercial professional with experience in PFI or public sector FM projects, ideally within elderly care or supported living facilities. A solid understanding of subcontractor procurement, lifecycle cost management, and budget control is essential-along with strong relationship-building skills to work effectively with both internal teams and care sector clients.



As the Quantity Surveyor for our client, your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing and reconciling lifecycle and FM budgets across care home PFI sites

  • Producing and maintaining CVRs and monthly commercial reports

  • Procurement and onboarding of service subcontractors and specialist suppliers

  • Managing subcontractor valuations and processing payment applications

  • Monitoring cost performance against SLAs and compliance standards

  • Attending contract and performance review meetings with clients

  • Supporting asset lifecycle planning and capital expenditure forecasting

  • Building strong relationships with care home operators and local authorities

  • Ensuring full compliance with PFI contract obligations and audit requirements



Essential Quantity Surveyor Experience:

  • Previous experience in PFI, facilities management, or care sector FM projects

  • Degree or equivalent technical qualification in Quantity Surveying or related field

  • Experience working with main contractors or FM service providers

  • Strong commercial awareness and understanding of long-term contracts

  • Excellent negotiation, reporting, and client-facing communication skills

  • Familiarity with lifecycle asset planning and public-sector compliance

  • RICS / CIOB qualification - preferred but not essential
