Job Title: Quantity Surveyor – Passive Fire

Location: Orpington, UK

Role Purpose: Are you an experienced Quantity Surveyor looking to join a growing company in the passive fire protection sector? We are seeking a commercially astute and motivated individual to manage and control all financial and technical aspects of projects helping to minimise costs and maximise value across our operations.

As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for:

  • Full commercial control from inception to final account
  • Measurement, pricing, and evaluation of tenders
  • CVR reporting and forecasting
  • Managing subcontractor accounts and payments
  • Identifying areas for margin improvement
  • Supporting invoicing and payment processes
  • Ensuring Health & Safety compliance
  • Building and maintaining supplier and subcontractor relationships

What We’re Looking For:

  • Relevant qualification (HNC, HND, Degree or equivalent)
  • Experience in passive fire protection but not essential
  • Strong commercial acumen with a solid background in procurement and cost management
  • Experience working with bills of quantities, schedules of rates, and design & build contracts
  • Proficiency in Excel and other commercial tools
  • A proactive, team-oriented approach with strong communication and time management skills
