Job description

Binnies, an RSK Group company, is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join our @one Alliance.

What will you do?

As a Quantity Surveyor in the @one Alliance, you will serve as the commercial conscience of the integrated delivery team, providing support to both delivery management and on-site teams. Your role will involve ensuring operations control costs, maximize value, minimize liabilities, and uphold quality and safety standards. You will also oversee compliance with Alliance and Anglian Water governance procedures.

Key responsibilities include:

1. Managing all aspects of commercial and cost management for projects as assigned by the Project Commercial Manager.
2. Implementing robust cost management processes with accurate reporting and data analysis to support commercial decisions.
3. Ensuring project team members understand contractual arrangements to meet client and partner requirements.
4. Collaborating with the delivery team to identify and monitor efficiency improvements throughout project lifecycles.
5. Maintaining proper records, including final accounts, for audits and cost assurance.

About your skills, experience, and behaviors:

You should have extensive cost management experience. A degree or equivalent in engineering, management, or a related discipline is beneficial but not essential; passion for a career in Commercial Management is key. You should demonstrate excellent customer service and leadership skills, with a solid understanding of construction and safety practices. Comfort challenging norms to improve commercial offerings is also important.
