Sir Robert McAlpine has been awarded a prestigious contract to deliver a cutting-edge gigafactory — a transformative project at the heart of the UK's green industrial revolution.

The initial phase involves designing and constructing a 15GWh lithium-ion battery manufacturing facility, including ancillary buildings and extensive site infrastructure.

Once completed, this facility will be among the largest battery production sites in the UK, capable of supplying nearly half of the country's projected automotive battery needs by the early 2030s.

The Quantity Surveyor – MEP – Major Project

• Recognized QS with strong commercial awareness, focusing on profit and cash management
• Assist with the commercial packages for MEP
• Manage commercial aspects including procurement, tendering, contract administration, variations, and subcontract management through to final account
• Aim to minimize risk and cost, and maximize value through cost checking and analysis of labor, plant, and materials
• Experience in various sectors of construction and civil engineering, working with main contractors

Your Profile

• Experience managing MEP packages
• Pre- and post-contract experience
• Ability to analyze data and determine strategic direction
• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or related field
