Quantity Surveyor – Major Projects (Passive Fire Protection)

Salary: Up to £65,000
Location: London (Hybrid working available)

We are partnered with a leading organisation within the passive fire protection sector, seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join their expanding Major Projects division. This is an excellent opportunity to support the commercial delivery of large-scale, high-value projects and contribute to the ongoing growth of a rapidly developing business.

We welcome applications from candidates with a minimum of 2-3 years' Quantity Surveying experience, ideally within a construction or specialist subcontracting environment. Exposure to major projects or Tier 1 contractor settings would be highly advantageous.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage project costs, valuations, variations and final accounts.
  • Support tendering activities, pricing and commercial proposals.
  • Monitor project commercial performance and profitability.
  • Prepare accurate monthly reporting, forecasting and cost analysis.
  • Review contracts and manage commercial risks and change control.
  • Work collaboratively with delivery teams to ensure programme success.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Contribute to process improvements and commercial development initiatives.
About You
  • Minimum 2-3 years' experience in a Quantity Surveying role.
  • Experience delivering high-value construction or passive fire protection works (Major Projects experience desirable).
  • Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or similar.
  • Strong analytical, reporting and financial management capability.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Proactive, organised and able to perform in a fast-paced environment.
  • Relationship-driven with a commercial mindset and focus on quality delivery.
