Job summary

Rothwellgroup is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to manage cost control, site measurements, variations, and CVRs across mechanical, electrical, and construction projects in the North West/ North East of England. You will handle payments, final accounts, cash flow forecasting, and cost-to-complete reporting, ensuring project delivery on time and within budget.

The role requires strong numeracy, IT proficiency, and excellent communication, negotiation and teamwork skills, plus knowledge of JCT and NEC

Qualifications

  • Strong numeracy, financial management and IT skills.
  • Strong communication, negotiation and team-working skills.
  • Knowledge of JCT and NEC contracts.
  • A full Driving license is also essential

Responsibilities

  • Weekly site measures & site liaison for records of events.
  • Costing and submitting variations.
  • Keeping all commercial registers up to date.
  • Performing Value management and cost control.
  • Arranging payments and valuing completed work.
  • Subcontractor payment review and approval
  • Managing projects through to completion, taking responsibility for their successful delivery.
  • Subcontract payments, variations and final accounts
  • Submission of Cost Value Reconciliations (CVRs) / all financial reporting- preparation of cost to complete
  • Cash Flow and Turnover forecast
