Job summary

A leading construction firm in Northern Ireland is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to manage project budgets and valuations. With key responsibilities including cost reconciliation and liaising with suppliers, the ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience and a BSc in Quantity Surveying. Job description

Vickerstock are working in partnership with a Fit-Out business on the appointment of a Quantity Surveyor.

As the Quantity Surveyor, you will be working alongside three other QS and will report directly to the Commercial Manager supporting a wide array of projects across GB and Ireland. Our client are looking for individuals ideally with joinery/woodwork experience, however, those coming from different areas of construction will still be considered.

In your new role:

  • Responsible for setting up project budgets and allowances
  • Manage valuations and agreement of variations
  • Prepare Cost Value Reconciliations and projected profitability reports
  • Identification of labour, material requirements, sourcing and obtaining quotations where applicable
  • Liaise closely with the purchasing department to ensure alignment on projected budgets
  • Prepare and agree final accounts effectively after works completion


What you will need to succeed:

  • 3 years' recent experience as a QS
  • BSc Quantity Surveying or related construction qualification
  • Experience in woodwork/joinery is advantageous
