Quantity Surveyor | James Gray Recruitment

We are working with a leading Tier 1 Main Contractor who are looking to recruit either a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team to work on a highly confidential project based in the West of Scotland. Please note that this role requires security clearance therefore you will need to be a British Passport holder.

What you'll need:

1. Due to security clearance requirements, candidates must hold or be eligible for SC clearance. Due to client requirements, candidates must be British passport holders and have resided in the UK for at least 5 years. (Dual passport holders not eligible for SC)
2. A degree in Quantity Surveying or similar qualification
3. Proven experience working with a recognised Main Contractor
4. Have good working knowledge of contracts such as NEC3 and JCT
5. Be an excellent communicator, both written and verbal

Your duties will include:

1. Managing costs and developing projects cost plans
2. Carrying out commercial activities relating to projects
3. Working with the Project Manager to ensure full understanding of all commercial matters
4. Liaising with design and operational teams throughout the full project lifecycle
5. Procurement of subcontractors
6. Producing valuations and commercial reports, as well as identifying variations
