Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying or related field, or equivalent technical degree.
  • Experience in Project Delivery and Cost Control (2-5 years preferred).
  • Exposure to MEP and Cost Estimating systems advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare cost management control budgets for projects to support corporate objectives.
  • Support the design and maintenance of cost management systems.
  • Coordinate with Project Executives and Managers to gather input for cost management.
  • Maintain documentation of project costs and backup data.
  • Evaluate historical data and incorporate relevant information into cost factors.
  • Monitor contract awards and compare costs to budgets, analyzing variances.
  • Engage with Trade Partners and clients.
  • Review design cost options and recommend solutions.
  • Build industry relationships for cost data acquisition.
  • Support change management documentation and review change submissions.
  • Monitor project implementation for compliance with estimates.
  • Assist in bid analysis and review proposals.
  • Prepare weekly/monthly cost reports for clients and management.
  • Participate in special projects as assigned.

Job description

We are looking for a Quantity Surveyor I to join our growing Commercial Department.

We seek a construction industry professional with knowledge of construction costs and contracts. In this role, you will assist with the contractual and financial aspects of construction projects, ensuring projects are completed within budget. The Quantity Surveyor I will help with the valuation of construction works, bidding, project budgeting, and preparing reports for clients.
