Quantity Surveyor - Residential Construction

Options Resourcing has partnered with one of the UK's leading housing developers to recruit an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their Commercial Division. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role on major residential schemes, within a business that genuinely invests in career development and professional growth.

About the Role

Based from their North West region office reporting directly to the Commercial Director, you will take full ownership of the commercial performance of your projects. This hands-on role covers financial and contractual management from pre-construction through to final account. You'll manage day-to-day commercial operations, deliver accurate reporting, and drive performance. Hybrid working can be offered however there will be site meetings to attend throughout the North West region.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and lead monthly Cost Value Reconciliation (CVR) reports - outlining current positions and final account forecasts, identifying risks and opportunities

Manage subcontractor packages from procurement to final account, including valuations, payments, contract admin, variations, and claims

Oversee full commercial reporting cycles, ensuring accuracy and timely submission of data across cash flow, spend tracking, and budget control

Support wider project delivery by monitoring progress, managing cost control, and assessing commercial risk

Liaise effectively with internal teams, clients, consultants, and supply chain partners to ensure commercial clarity and collaboration

Requirements

Proven experience in the commercial management of residential construction projects (multi-occupancy experience desirable)

A relevant HND/Degree in Quantity Surveying or 10-15+ years' practical experience in a similar role

Strong communication skills - written, verbal, and digital

Methodical and accurate in commercial reporting and administration

Self-motivated, hands-on, and confident working independently and within a team

Ability to prioritise and thrive in a fast-paced, commercially focused environment
