Our client, a leading organisation in the Highways sector, is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join their Commercial Team. In collaboration with Design and Road Safety Teams, the successful candidate will manage the full life cycle of design-build schemes delivered under Options A, C, and E of the NEC3 Term Service Contract. This role requires meticulous planning, cost management, and effective communication to ensure timely and budget-friendly project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and manage cost estimates, budgets, and financial reports
  • Conduct risk, value management, and cost control
  • Ensure compliance with contract terms and conditions
  • Liaise with clients, contractors, and project teams for successful project delivery
  • Monitor project progress and manage change effectively
  • Prepare tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities
  • Evaluate completed work and arrange payments to contractors
  • Provide advice on contractual claims and disputes

Job Requirements:

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying or related field
  • Experience with NEC3/4 or similar construction contracts
  • Strong analytical and negotiation skills
  • Proficiency in cost management
  • UK driving licence
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
