Job summary

Balfour Beatty plc is seeking a Quantity Surveyor for the Connect Plus Services (CPS) team to support the M25 project in Leatherhead. The role focuses on measurement, valuation, and commercial duties within a high-profile highway maintenance environment.

The successful candidate will typically be chartered or nearing RICS/ICES membership, with strong communication and teamwork skills, and experience in cost control and value engineering for major infrastructure programs.

Qualifications

• BSc or MSc in Quantity Surveying or experience equivalent.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Experience in commercial work/industry knowledge desirable.

Responsibilities

• Measure and value civil engineering work and reconcile to costs.
• Support senior commercial team in delivering duties and manage supply chain agreements.
• Minimise costs and maximise value while maintaining standards and quality for customers.
• Prepare Bills of Quantities and Schedules of rates; interpret drawings and specifications.
