Job summary

Balfour Beatty plc is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join the Connect Plus Services (CPS) team, supporting the M25 London Orbital project. Location options include Dartford, Leatherhead or South Mimms.

The role focuses on measurement, valuation, cost control and administering supply chain agreements. The successful candidate will typically be chartered or nearing chartered status with RICS/ICES or similar, and will contribute to cost engineering, estimating and planning activities while aiming

Qualifications

• BSc or MSc in Quantity Surveying (or equivalent).
• Experience in measurement and valuation of civil engineering works.

Responsibilities

• Measure, value and reconcile costs for civil engineering works.
• Support senior commercial team members in delivering duties and administer supply chain agreements.
• Seek to minimise costs and maximise value while maintaining quality and standards for customers.
• Measure and interpret drawings/specifications to build up net/gross estimates.
• Assist with planning and programme updates to support section programmes.
• Use the company ERP system to manage cost information and prepare cost reconciliation statements.
