Job summary

Ivy Resource Group are recruiting an experienced Quantity Surveyor for a permanent role based in Wolverhampton. You will oversee a diverse portfolio of commercial projects including schools, hospitals, colleges, universities and leisure centres.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in Quantity Surveying or related field, strong knowledge of contracts, procurement and cost control, plus excellent negotiation and communication skills to work with clients and subcontractors across high-profile

Qualifications

Bachelor level of knowledge in quantity surveying or related construction discipline.
Strong understanding of construction contracts, procurement and cost control.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills with clients, consultants and subcontractors.

Responsibilities

Managing the commercial and financial aspects of construction projects from pre-construction through to completion.
Preparing and reviewing cost plans, budgets, estimates and tender documentation.
Managing subcontractor procurement, including tender analysis, negotiation and appointment.
Preparing, reviewing and agreeing interim valuations, payment applications and final accounts.
Identifying and managing variations, risks and commercial issues.
Reviewing subcontractor applications, valuations and variations for contractual compliance.
Supporting the preparation and negotiation of commercial agreements and contracts.
Collaborating with project managers, site teams and stakeholders to meet project objectives.
