Quantity Surveyor - Permanent - Main Contractor - High-End Fit-Out

Are you a quantity surveyor, local to Harrow, with experience in managing JCT Contracts and seeking a new permanent role?

We are recruiting for an intermediate quantity surveyor on behalf of a high-end fit-out contractor. For over 30 years, they have worked with luxury brands on projects across London. Due to a strong order book for 2025, they are looking to expand their commercial team.

Projects include high-end residences, retail, and restaurants across the capital, with project values up to £20 million.

Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Attend monthly site progress meetings
2. Compile and submit monthly interim applications for payment to the Client's PQS
3. Receive, price, and agree Contract Administrator's Instructions
4. Maintain an active variation log
5. Prepare and present to the client's PQS the projected final account
6. Management of Subcontractors:

• Place orders with subcontractors
• Agree variation costs with subcontractors
• Prepare interim Payment Certificates for subcontractors
• Agree Final Accounts with subcontractors

In-House Responsibilities:

• Prepare and present monthly Cost Reports to the MD
• Identify domestic and in-house costs not covered by instructions
• Check drawings and specifications for un-instructed works
• Cost value reconciliation on individual packages

The contractor seeks quantity surveyors who are degree educated, experienced with the full range of JCT contracts, and have worked in fit-out projects with strong commercial awareness.

The role is based at the contractor's offices in Harrow, requiring daily commuting. Attendance at sites in central and west London is also expected.
