Job summary

The Royal Parks in London is looking for a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join on a two-year fixed-term contract based at Hyde Park. You will manage costs and value across construction and maintenance projects, providing detailed cost plans, budgets and procurement advice.

The role requires NEC3/4 contract administration experience, cost estimation, risk assessment and regular cost reporting. A degree-level qualification and professional qualification (preferably RICS) are desired, with strong

Qualifications

• Proven experience in quantity surveying, cost estimations, contract administration and procurement.
• Knowledge and experience of contract administration, including NEC3/4.
• Experience in cost planning, benchmarking, and value engineering.
• Report writing and analytical skills.
• A degree-level qualification or equivalent through relevant training and/or experience.
• A professional qualification or about to obtain RICS.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost plans, schedules of works and bills of quantities, and monitor budgets and financial performance from start to finish.
• Advise on procurement strategies, evaluate cost returns and ensure transparent, compliant financial processes.
• Oversee tender preparation, contract documentation and evaluation of completed works.
• Carry out regular site inspections and produce cost and progress reports.
