Job summary

Guildmore Group, a Midlands & North specialist, is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to oversee commercial and contractual aspects of façade and cladding remediation projects from our Milton Keynes office, with site visits as required.

You will manage procurement, cost control, valuations, and subcontractor management, supporting a Trainee Quantity Surveyor where appropriate and collaborating across project teams to achieve commercial objectives.

Qualifications

• Experience working as a Quantity Surveyor within construction, ideally in façade or cladding remediation, residential or social housing projects.

Responsibilities

• Manage project budgets, cost reporting, cash flow forecasts and cost-to-complete assessments.
• Prepare and manage client and subcontractor valuations, payments and payment notices.
• Lead procurement activities, including tendering, subcontractor selection, negotiations and package awards.
• Manage variations, contractual correspondence, commercial risks and subcontractor claims.
• Prepare and maintain purchase orders, procurement schedules and contract documentation.
• Monitor project costs, identify risks and opportunities, and implement cost-control measures.
• Ensure compliance with JCT Design & Build and NEC4 where applicable.
• Maintain commercial records and reports in line with procedures.
• Collaborate with project, design and construction teams to achieve objectives.
• Support and mentor junior team members where required.
