Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in surveying or estimating UK residential groundworks projects.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Working knowledge of Bluebeam or similar construction software.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the point of contact for all commercial queries on a project.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual responsibilities.
  • Prepare, submit, and agree on contract tenders from inception to completion.
  • Manage monthly payment applications.
  • Prepare project forecasts and cost plans.

Site engineers Adam McCormack and Keith McWilliams founded the civil engineering division of KAMM Group over 25 years ago.

Due to continued growth, we are looking for a talented Quantity Surveyor / Estimator(s) to join our team based at our Ringwood Office.

Office Location: Ringwood, Hampshire

Summary: Carry out surveying and estimating for groundworks and civil engineering sub-contracts on new housing developments, reporting to the Commercial Manager / Director.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the point of contact for all commercial queries on a project.

  • Prepare, submit, and agree on contract tenders from inception to completion.
  • Manage monthly payment applications.
  • Handle project variations, claims, and design changes.
  • Prepare project forecasts and cost plans.
  • Process subcontractor payments.
  • Adhere to company and departmental procedures and deadlines.
  • Generate reports analyzing project profitability and progress.
  • Collaborate with procurement and site management teams.

Essential Competence and Training:

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in surveying or estimating UK residential groundworks projects.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Working knowledge of Bluebeam or similar construction software.
