Quantity Surveyor / Estimator Position

We are excited to advertise a new opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor / Estimator to join a leading Civil Engineering Contractor with a 25-year history and an annual turnover of circa £65m.

Our client is an expert in their field, with a team of over 400 skilled professionals. Their expertise spans various civil engineering projects, from large-scale excavations to intricate structural works.

As they continue to expand, we are seeking a talented Quantity Surveyor / Estimator to join their team at the HQ near Burley, Hampshire.

Quantity Surveyor / Estimator Duties:
  • Serve as the point of contact for all surveying and estimating queries on projects.
  • Ensure full contractual compliance.
  • Assist in the preparation, submission, and agreement of tenders.
  • Collaborate with surveying and estimating teams on project variations, claims, and design changes.
  • Prepare project forecasts and cost plans.
  • Adhere to company and departmental procedures and deadlines.
  • Prepare and submit reports analyzing project profitability and progress.
  • Work closely with procurement and site management teams.
Candidate Criteria:
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in surveying UK residential groundworks projects.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Knowledge of Bluebeam or similar construction software.
