Job summary

Henley Chase is looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our Central London team on demolition and enabling works projects. You will manage the commercial aspects, valuations, and subcontractor accounts across a busy portfolio.

You will handle cost forecasting, variations and client liaison, with a strong preference for demolition/enabling works background and a stable, long-term commitment to the company.

Qualifications

• 5-10 years' post-graduate experience as a Quantity Surveyor.
• Experience within demolition, enabling works or civil engineering.
• Demolition/enabling experience is particularly desirable.
• Strong commercial and contractual understanding.
• Good communication and negotiation skills.
• Comfortable working across Central London projects.
• Looking for a long-term permanent position rather than freelance work.
• A stable career history and evidence of committing to previous employers is preferred.
• Able to start ASAP or within a short notice period.

Quantity Surveyor - Demolition / Enabling Works

Salary: £60,000-£75,000 DOE

Location: Central London / London-based projects

Due to a significant increase in the forward order book, we are looking to appoint an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join an established and growing construction business.

The majority of projects are Central London based, with a strong pipeline of upcoming work.

The Role

• Managing the commercial aspects of demolition, enabling works and civil engineering projects.
• Ideally working on demolition or enabling works projects, although strong civil engineering experience will also be considered.
• Preparing valuations, applications for payment and final accounts.
• Managing variations, costs and project budgets.
