Quantity Surveyor/Cost Manager - Aviation

We are currently recruiting for a Quantity Surveyor to work on a high-profile aviation project in west London.

Job Objectives:

• Manage the sub-programme contract commercial & cost activities, ensuring the appropriateness and viability of contract commercial information.
• Support procurement to achieve best value by developing delivery strategies into procurement plans and contract awards, including incentivisation.
• Advise on tendering or negotiations to facilitate sound supplier selection decisions.
• Manage all post-contract commercial activities, supporting contract changes, instructed work scope changes, and award fee recommendations.
• Assist contractors in maintaining transparency and data integrity to minimize risks.
• Manage potential liabilities through timely responses to contractor notifications.
• Recommend approvals for applications for payment and proactively manage contractual issues, escalating disputes as needed.
• Evaluate cost impacts of alternative delivery strategies, including benchmark assessments.
• Provide support and guidance to the Cost & Commercial team.
• Oversee contract close-out activities in line with client requirements.
• Promote the development of effective sub-programme working practices.
• Adhere to client processes and sub-programme practices.

Candidates should demonstrate experience in:

• Tendering support, procurement, target price negotiation, tier 2 procurement, and commercial management in an NEC environment.
• Previous airport project experience is advantageous.
