Job summary

Henley Chase is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor / Contracts Manager to join our growing team. The role supports commercial cost management and, as experience grows, project and contract management across North West projects.

The position offers hybrid working with home-based tasks and a Manchester site presence, including twice-weekly visits to the site and Leeds office on a two-week cycle. A route to broader Contracts Manager responsibilities is envisaged.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor, Commercial Manager, or Contracts Manager.
• Strong understanding of subcontractor valuations, invoicing, and cost control.
• Good commercial awareness with excellent attention to detail.
• Experience producing progress reports and monitoring project programmes is desirable.
• Strong communication and client-facing skills.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Willingness to travel to Manchester twice per week and work across North West projects.

Responsibilities

• Manage subcontractor valuations and payment applications.
• Prepare and submit client valuations and invoices.
• Monitor project costs and ensure commercial performance is maintained.
• Assist with cost reporting, forecasting, and financial control.
• Attend the client's site in Manchester approximately twice per week.
• Support delivery of projects across the North West.
• Prepare client progress reports and programme updates.
• Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, and clients to ensure projects run efficiently.
• Identify and manage commercial risks and opportunities.
• Assist with contract administration and project documentation.

Quantity Surveyor / Contracts Manager

We are looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor / Contracts Manager to join our growing team and support the delivery of works for a newly secured client. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys both the commercial and operational aspects of construction and wants to play a key role in developing a long-term client relationship.

The role will primarily focus on commercial cost management, with the opportunity to become more involved in project and contract management as the role develops.
