About the Company

An award-winning contractor that is part of a multi-faceted construction and property company. They are a fast-growing fit-out and refurbishment contractor, with 80% of their order book for the next year already secured, and an exciting pipeline of projects across retail, leisure, residential, and commercial sectors.

About the Role

Based at Head Office in Liverpool with site visits as appropriate. You will perform Quantity Surveyor duties on fit-out and refurbishment schemes for key clients in the Retail, Commercial, Hospitality & Leisure sectors. You will join a small, close-knit team of dedicated professionals, working together to deliver projects on time and within budget, reporting to the Commercial Manager of the division.

Brief Overview

• Mainly fit-out and refurbishment contracts; experience in new build projects would be beneficial.
• Must be able to measure and have knowledge of producing quantities for schedules of works or bill production.
• Manage 2/3 projects valued from £100k up to £2 million.
• Some estimating knowledge would be beneficial.
• Growing team, great time to join the business.
• Strong financial model with 20%+ gross margins and 10%+ net margins.

QS Role includes:

• Control of cost and value
• Subcontractor procurement, payment, and management

• Variations and Final Accounts
• Monthly management reporting
• Protection of the company’s commercial interests
• Working closely with the project team to enable project delivery and success

What You Need to Succeed

• Educated to a Degree level in Quantity Surveying & Commercial Management
• Experience working on 2+ schemes concurrently
• Experience in Leisure or Retail sector build, refurb, or fit-out projects
• Strong negotiating skills and ability to work as part of an ambitious and successful team
