Summary

Freedom's Network Services team is seeking an additional Quantity Surveyor based in Hampshire (Basingstoke). Reporting to the Commercial Manager, this role will support the business by managing the contractual and financial aspects of projects within the Networks division, including electrical, civil frameworks, and standalone projects.

The role also involves activities essential for successful P&L, cash flow, and working capital management.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Managing NEC3/4 and bespoke contracts across multiple projects
• Measuring and valuing works for applications, variations, and final accounts with clients and suppliers
• Identifying and notifying Early Warnings and Compensation Events
• Ensuring contracts within the supply chain are fit for purpose
• Providing Cash Flow Forecasts
• Creating and managing CVRs
• Leading monthly project review meetings
• Managing disputes and defect processes with clients and subcontractors
• Attending client progress meetings
• Following procedures for client work approval
• Managing invoicing and debts
• Communicating effectively at all levels
• Managing supply chain activities
• Driving innovation and continuous improvement

Qualifications and Experience:

• Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor or similar role (Essential)
• Strong understanding of various contract types, especially NEC3/4 (Essential)
• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field (or relevant HNC with experience) (Essential)
• Proficiency in MS Excel, including lookups and pivot tables (Essential)
• Experience with civil engineering and construction projects (Desirable)
