  • Produce, review and manage detailed cost plans, tender documentation, and cash flow forecasts
  • Lead monthly cost reporting and ensure project budget tracking remains accurate and transparent
  • Assist with procurement, contract reviews, and value engineering
  • Administer variations, valuations, and final accounts in line with project goals
  • Maintain and refine internal commercial templates and cost-tracking systems
  • Coordinate with external Quantity Surveyors and consultants as required
  • Liaise with design and delivery teams to adapt to changes in scope or delivery
  • Support wider process improvement across commercial and CapEx functions

Candidate Requirements

  • 3–5 years of experience in cost consultancy or project cost management, preferably in retail, commercial or mixed-use developments
  • Proven track record managing projects over £1m in value
  • Strong understanding of the RIBA Plan of Work, tendering procedures, and JCT contract administration
  • Familiarity with UK building regulations, compliance, and procurement standards
  • Skilled in managing multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent stakeholder communication and negotiation skills
  • Strong analytical mindset with a high attention to detail

Desirable

  • Experience with pan-European construction projects
  • Working toward or holding RICS or CIOB membership
  • Advanced Excel and cost planning tools (e.g., CostX, CATO)

What’s on Offer

  • Salary up to £50,000 per annum, depending on experience
  • Exposure to a wide range of fast-moving, high-profile retail and property projects
  • A commercially dynamic and supportive environment with career growth potential
  • Hybrid working flexibility (after onboarding period)
  • Employee benefits including store discounts and professional development support

This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially aware QS looking to play a central role in the growth and transformation of a leading UK retail property portfolio.
