Job summary

Rise Technical Recruitment Limited is seeking a Quantity Surveyor in Reigate, Surrey, for a growing civil engineering subcontractor. You will manage project costs, prepare estimates, and oversee NEC contracts while supporting and mentoring junior QS staff.

The ideal candidate will have NEC contracts experience in civils or highways, strong commercial awareness, and the ability to work across multiple responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Quantity Surveyor within civils or highways.
• Strong knowledge of NEC contracts.
• Proficient in Excel and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and responsibilities with a proactive approach.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets for projects.
• Conduct quantity take-offs from drawings and specs.
• Manage NEC contracts, variations and claims.
• Monitor costs and identify risks or overruns.
• Negotiate with subcontractors and suppliers.
• Support and mentor junior QS staff.
• Collaborate with project and site teams on delivery and procurement.
• Produce financial reports and ensure commercial compliance.
