Position Overview:

As a Quantity Surveyor at our client's esteemed company, you will play a pivotal role in project cost management, ensuring financial control, and supporting the successful execution of construction and civil engineering projects. Key Responsibilities:

1. Collaborate with project managers and engineering teams to understand project requirements and objectives.
2. Prepare accurate cost estimates and budgets, taking into account materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
3. Monitor project financials, including cost tracking, forecasting, and variance analysis.
4. Negotiate and manage subcontractor and supplier contracts.
5. Conduct regular cost reporting and analysis to ensure projects remain on budget.
6. Assess and manage project risks related to cost and contract variations.
7. Provide timely advice on procurement strategies and contractual matters.
8. Support value engineering efforts to optimize project costs without compromising quality.
9. Prepare and review payment applications and change orders.
10. Maintain accurate cost records and documentation.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field (preferred).
2. Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction and civil engineering sector.
3. Strong knowledge of construction contracts, procurement, and cost management.
4. Proficiency in relevant software and tools.
5. Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
6. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
7. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
8. Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality.
9. Professional accreditation (RICS, CIOB, or similar) is advantageous.
