Position Overview:
As a Quantity Surveyor at our client's esteemed company, you will play a pivotal role in project cost management, ensuring financial control, and supporting the successful execution of construction and civil engineering projects. Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with project managers and engineering teams to understand project requirements and objectives.
- Prepare accurate cost estimates and budgets, taking into account materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
- Monitor project financials, including cost tracking, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Negotiate and manage subcontractor and supplier contracts.
- Conduct regular cost reporting and analysis to ensure projects remain on budget.
- Assess and manage project risks related to cost and contract variations.
- Provide timely advice on procurement strategies and contractual matters.
- Support value engineering efforts to optimize project costs without compromising quality.
- Prepare and review payment applications and change orders.
- Maintain accurate cost records and documentation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field (preferred).
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction and civil engineering sector.
- Strong knowledge of construction contracts, procurement, and cost management.
- Proficiency in relevant software and tools.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality.
- Professional accreditation (RICS, CIOB, or similar) is advantageous.
