A leading company in construction services seeks a Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team. The ideal candidate will have experience in Civil Engineering projects and strong communication skills. Permanent, contract, or freelance positions are available in the following categories:
Quantity Surveyor. Project QS to work with the Commercial team. Experience in Civil Engineering, Groundworks, RC, or Sprayed Concrete is beneficial. Relevant experience and commercial understanding, along with an organized and enthusiastic attitude, are more important than formal qualifications. A project management or engineering background could also be relevant. A car driver is essential, and the position is based at the head office.
Quantity Surveyor. You will work for a contractor handling sprayed concrete and concrete repair work. Project package values range from £50k to over £10m. The work is nationwide, but you will be based at the head office, working five days a week. Previous experience in Groundworks, RC, or Civil Engineering projects is preferred. Strong communication skills, good commercial understanding, and IT skills are important, with technical engineering knowledge being an advantage.
The Quantity Surveying role involves collaborating closely with the construction team and clients to ensure accurate identification and charging of all commercial elements. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic about the construction industry and able to communicate effectively at all levels. The contractor is highly respected in this niche market and maintains excellent relationships with contractors and clients on major projects. A genuine desire to contribute to the company's growth and expansion is essential.
