Job description

Position: Quantity Surveyor
Location: Cheshire
Salary: Up to £52,000 + package
Type: Permanent
Sector: Privately-Owned Developer – New Build Residential

We are working with a reputable privately-owned housebuilder in Cheshire who are looking to appoint a Quantity Surveyor to support their growing residential development portfolio. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established team delivering high-quality new build housing schemes.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee and manage the commercial aspects of residential construction projects

Identify, assess, and manage project risks and opportunities

Prepare and manage cost estimates, budgets, and reports

Assist with procurement of subcontractors and materials

Monitor project progress and ensure financial control is maintained

Work closely with the site and design teams to ensure smooth delivery of projects

Requirements:

Extensive experience within the residential construction sector (housing preferred)

Strong commercial and risk management background

HNC or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field

Solid knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building regulations

Strong communication and negotiation skills

Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
