COSTING THE FUTURE OF CONNECTIVITY

Our Quantity Surveying and Commercial teams play a key role in managing budgets and driving the growth of our mobile network. As a Quantity Surveyor Technician, you'll review site designs, support smart spending on upgrades and new builds, and help avoid overengineering-making sure every pound is well spent, all while earning a £30,000 starting salary!

Make things happen

As an apprentice, you'll work closely with skilled Quantity Surveyors, some with over 30 years' experience, gaining real insight into how we handle budgets and keep our projects on track. You'll help check site designs and high-value budget estimates, making sure costs are accurate and reflect only what's truly needed-from access tracks to full site builds. It's about understanding the detail, evaluating supplier rates, and supporting value engineering to avoid overspending and use the right materials in the right way. Day-to-day, you could be:

- Reviewing site assessments and verifying budget estimates align with project needs

- Supporting the move from outsourced to in-house contract management

- Collaborating with commercial teams to drive smart decisions

With inclusivity at our hearts, we're 100% committed to having a workforce that represents every part of our society, so we're keen to hear from candidates of all backgrounds and circumstances. The only barrier to applying would be if you didn't have the right to work in the UK and were unable to obtain it without our support.

What is involved with studying for an apprenticeship?

This apprenticeship gives you the opportunity to become skilled in your role, and combines on the job learning and academic study, where you'll spend approximately 20% of your working hours completing learning with one of our training providers. At the end of the programme, you'll receive a nationally recognised qualification.

Together, we offer the UK more choice and better value, through our boundary-pushing, customer-championing values and ambitions. Together, we are Virgin Media O2, and we can't wait to see what you can do.
