Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Experience and knowledge of NEC contracts.

• Valid driving licence and willingness to travel to sites across your operational region.

We’re already on site supporting the completion of an existing project and we’re due to land new projects on site in 2025 as we continue to demonstrate to our client just what MMB is all about.

As a Quantity Surveyor you'll work on projects that make a real difference to our environment and our communities - from improving flood defences, to upgrading water treatment works and providing nature-based solutions that improve biodiversity.

You will be involved throughout the entire project life cycle, from early contractor involvement, optioneering, tender negotiation through to the design, procurement, construct, commissioning and handover of schemes. You will ensure that our projects are financially viable, legally compliant, and completed to the required standards.

Your role as Quantity Surveyor includes:

• Ensuring robust cost management processes are in place, providing accurate and timely reports, data and analysis.
• Supporting procurement activities and supply chain engagement.
• Assisting with subcontractor and supplier management, including tendering and procurement.
• Working closely with delivery teams to identify and implement efficiency improvements and drive best value for clients.
• Supporting clients to maximise opportunities and mitigate risks.
• Providing commercial and contractual advice to project teams to ensure robust project control and successful project delivery.
• Building and maintaining strong client relationships.
• Supporting the development of junior commercial team members.

What you’ll need:

• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering or related discipline (preferred).
• Experience and knowledge of NEC contracts.
• Experience in Quantity Surveying.
• Experience supporting the commercial management of construction projects through the full project lifecycle.
• A valid driving licence and willingness to travel to sites across your operational region
