Job summary

Skilled Careers is hiring a Quantity Surveyor in Basingstoke for a long-term residential development project valued up to £50m. You will manage the project’s commercial performance, prepare cost plans and cash flows, and oversee subcontractor packages and final accounts. Strong procurement, cost reporting and knowledge of UK regulations are essential.

The role offers £50,000-£60,000 salary plus a car allowance, with excellent progression opportunities on a major project and 25 days’ holiday.

Qualifications

• HND, HNC or degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction or a related discipline.
• RICS or CIOB membership, or working towards professional membership.
• Experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Contract Surveyor within residential construction.
• Strong procurement, subcontractor management and cost reporting experience.
• Good commercial awareness, numerical ability and negotiation skills.
• Knowledge of UK construction regulations and health & safety requirements.
• Experience with groundworks, piling, RC frame and brickwork would be advantageous.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a well-established residential developer on a major long-term project valued at up to £50m.
