Job Title: Quantity Surveyor

About the Role:

An established and reputable construction and development company in the North West is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing costs, contracts, and financial performance across a portfolio of residential construction projects, ensuring that developments are delivered on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare
accurate cost estimates, budgets, and forecasts for residential construction projects.

Manage
procurement processes, including negotiating contracts with subcontractors and suppliers.

Conduct
financial reporting and cost control, ensuring alignment with company targets.

Monitor
cash flow, variations, and valuations throughout project lifecycles.

Work
closely with site teams, project managers, and senior stakeholders to ensure cost efficiency.

Use COINS software for cost management, reporting, and financial tracking.

Ensure
compliance with contractual obligations and industry regulations.

Identify
and mitigate financial risks associated with projects.

Assist
in preparing tender documentation and contract administration.

Requirements:

Degree
or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.

Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in residential construction or affordable housing projects.

Proficiency
in COINS software for cost management and financial reporting.

Strong
commercial acumen with a keen eye for detail.

Excellent
negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to manage multiple projects and work under pressure to meet deadlines.

Strong
knowledge of JCT and NEC contracts.

Proficient
in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Word.
