Sir Robert McAlpine has secured a prestigious contract to construct a state-of-the-art Battery Manufacturing Facility. The initial phase of the project includes the design and construction of a new 15GWh lithium-ion battery facility, ancillary buildings, and site-wide external works.

The Quantity Surveyor role

Ideally, you'll:

  • Be a recognized Quantity Surveyor with strong commercial awareness, focusing on profit and cash flow.
  • Work collaboratively to input into Work Scope Documents and procure Enabling Work Packages with the Client Procurement Team.
  • Have prior experience with Construction Management projects.
  • Have experience managing various commercial aspects, including procurement, tendering, contract administration, variations, and managing subcontract works packages through to final account.
  • Be keen to minimize risk and cost while maximizing value through cost checking and analysis of labour, plant, and materials.
  • Possess broad construction industry experience across various sectors and markets in commercial roles within main contracting organizations.

Your profile

  • Strategic thinker — able to analyze internal and external data and apply sound judgment regarding the business's strategic direction.
  • You will be degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or a related field.
